A pair of early 20th-Century tortoise shell panels, possibly from Europe, each mounted with a porcelain hand-painted miniature portrait and surrounded with enameled ormulu detail and glass stones. The pair originally had ornate Ricoco-style frames which were heavily damaged, and have been reframed accordingly. The are in good overall condition with some minor age-related wear.
