Established in 2016, we are a small owner-run business based in the Western Cape, South Africa, that takes great pride in our quality pieces and excellent customer service. We fully guarantee safe delivery to you anywhere in South Africa, and take great care in the verification of all our pieces sourced – so much so that we also fully guarantee all pieces advertised, for your peace of mind.

Payments
We accept the following payment methods/options within South Africa:
Manual EFTs from any bank
For this option, you can effect a manual EFT payment from your bank to ours. Once you have submitted your order, we will provide you with the bank details for EFT. We kindly request payment to be completed with 48hours.- Payment with secure Payfast gateway
We have the option for payment via the well-known secure Payfast merchant gateway. This option allows payment via InstantEFT, Debit/Credit Card, Capitec Pay, QRCode Apps, Snapscan or Zapper. (both for national customers as well as international customers)
All your payment details are secure and no details are shared with us nor any other third parties.
For international customers, when completing the checkout the DHL option will show zero charge; we will confirm the shipping rate to your address once we receive your order. Thereafter we will provide you with the Payfast payment link for payment by credit card.
Should you have family or friends within South Africa you would like to ship locally to, please select that option instead.
Please note that shipping internationally may attract customs import duties where applicable, for which the recipient will be responsible on their side.
Privacy Policy & POPI
We respect your right to privacy and therefore aim to ensure that we comply with the legal requirement of the POPI Act which regulates the manner in which we collect, process and store any personal information which you have provided to us as outlined in the Act. Any Personal Information processed by us will not routed/transferred to any third party outside the normal chain of business.
By using our services, social media, website or any other manner of contact, you consent for us to process the information supplied by you as necessary to perform business.
Shipping, Returns and Refunds
We take great pride in the quality of all our pieces sold and double-check the integrity and beauty of all our pieces before dispatch to ensure it is ready to wear when you receive it.
As part of our excellent service we also fully guarantee safe delivery of your parcel to you, granted that we effected the shipping per the shipping options listed on checkout.
Should for whatever reason there be any major inaccuracy in our description or photos please let us know within 24 hours of receipt that we may action accordingly.
Kindly note no returns nor refunds are permitted after receipt of your item in all of the following instances:
- for items that have been resized, damaged or altered by any third party, including when gemstones have been replaced in jewellery
- for other items this also includes pieces that have been damaged or repaired after receipt.
Shipment & Guarantee Terms
- Buds Vintage fully guarantees safe delivery of your parcel sent with either PostNet or The Courier Guy courier (also applicable to PUDO parcels).
- In the imperceptible event that the shipping company deems the parcel to be lost or damaged in transit after their investigation within a reasonable timeframe, we will issue a full refund to you of the purchase price and shipping charges pertaining to your order.
- All above terms are with reference to any parcel to be delivered within the borders of South Africa.
- For international parcels we only use DHL Express delivered to door, and as such any refund is limited to only DHL’s insurance- or loss terms, and any claim must be raised directly with them from the recipient’s side.
