An antique large sugar bowl with the regimental coat of arms of the Cape Mounted Riflemen, formed in 1827 and comprised of the Hottentots from the Cape Corps when it was disbanded and re-organized.
The sugar bowl is in fair condition; the value is very much in the surviving artifact showing the heraldry.
The sugar bowl's makers mark, "Real Stone China" was a mark used from 1820s to early 1830s which fits exactly in the same period.
